Westeros Awaits - Mattepaint Challenge

It's been a while since I have worked on some personal work and an even longer time since I participated in some online matte painting challenges. But I couldnt resist a Game of Thrones themed matte painting challenge and I managed to come Third in the final judgement!

I'm heavily inspired by the Northern Irish coast and so I wanted to bring that together in this project. My aim was to create an establishing shot of a castle on the headlands of the Iron islands.

I had a lot of fun bringing this together in the evenings and during the last few days I spent most of my time detailing and bringing the last elements together to tie it all together.
